Barry Rigby 36 took the title of at the 15th World Pie Eating Championships, which is held every year at Harry’s Bar in Wallgate, Wigan. Wigan-born Barry, 36, munched his way through a meat and potato pie in an amazing time of 43 seconds. Barry, said: “I have never entered it before and just thought I’d give it a go. I never thought that I would win but hopefully my friends and family will be very proud”.
We’re proud of you Barry, a true pieoneer!

There’s a rumour going round that our famous Pie Man will be returning to the Bullring and will be giving shoppers in Birmingham a surprise visit! If you spot the Pie Man about, let us know!

We’re delighted to receive a great review from the Bullring Shopping Centre! They describe the way that we ‘consider the environment…the pie boxes turn into plates, and then go on to be recycled!’ and our pies are ‘a real tasty treat after work in this dreary weather’.

We were absolutely delighted to be scored the best bargain brum eatery in the Guardian today! The article, written by Tony Naylor, describes our food as ‘fresh, honest fast food’ with ‘neat packaging to boot’ and our pies as ‘generous, handmade, all-butter-pastry creations’!
